Printable Inspirational Quotes to Lift You Up

I’m sharing FIVE Free Printable Inspirational Quotes to help lift you up!

One of the things I love to collect, besides vintage items, are inspirational quotes. Some of my favorites lately have been positive quotes that lift my spirits. I thought it would be fun to design some quotes that were pretty enough to display as reminders during the day. And I wanted to share them with you! Enjoy!

Collecting Quotes

There are many ways I collect quotes. I write them in journals and on my Pinterest boards. I also print them off and glue them on pages in notebooks.

Ideas for Displaying Quotes

Some of my favorite quotes, I love to print out and display around the house. We hang them on the refrigerator. I hang them on my kids doors and bulletin boards as a little I love you. Framing the quotes and adding them to vignettes around the house is one of my other favorite ways to display them.

How to Frame Quotes

When I am out at thrift shops and vintage markets I love to keep my eyes out for pretty old frames. I also have found great frames at local dollar stores. Often I use old frames I have laying around and just switch out quotes by the season to keep them fresh. I have even glued a stick from the woods to the top of the quote and bottom to hang in a fun way. You can see how I did that with a hymnal page in this post.

Types of Quotes

I collect all types of quotes. Bible verses are some of my favorites. Quotes from favorite authors are also wonderful. Some of the best to share with my kids are motivational quotes. One year I had a notebooks (those inexpensive composition notebooks) for each of my kids and I would print out quotes and glue them inside with a note and then leave it on their pillow. It was a great way to communicate back and forth.

Mirror Quotes

This may be my all time favorite way to use Printable Quotes. I love to hang them on my bathroom mirror. My kids love to do this too. It’s such a great place to have a piece of motivation, inspiration or pick me up! Use this printable of smaller versions, all on one page, to cut apart and hang on your mirror.

Find a FREE Printable, inspiration from my recent posts and what I’ve been up to the past week.

How’s your weekend started? I’ve been writing this post in chunks as I stop to go for a walk or listen to my daughter play piano. That’s how life looks right now with all of us at home, but I love the interruptions from my kids. I’ve also been watching virtual workshops from the Thrive Blog Conference. Rather than cancel, they moved everything on line so we could watch from home and I’m learning a lot.

I started reading The Book of Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate. I really enjoyed her novel Before, We Were Yours, and was excited to pick up her new book about three young women after the Civil War searching for their families.

What I’m Loving

Lingering around the dinner table laughing at stories. My husband and kids tell the best stories. It’s been great to not have to rush away from this together time. The other night they were all sharing their predictions of what the others’ lives would look like when they grew up. I love that our family laughs a lot!
We had a snow storm last week and our temps have stayed cool, we are still having roaring fires every day to keep toasty.
No alarm clock waking me up in the mornings is bliss! Are you an early bird or a night owl? I wake up easily in the morning, but like to slowly get out of bed. I can also be a night owl. My most creative time is late at night.
Movie time with my daughters. We made a girls’ afternoon and got take out lunch and hot drinks from Little Creek Coffee Shop and brought it home to watch Pride and Prejudice.
Time for projects. We’ve been fixing up an area in our guest house, adding barnwood wainscoting and it looks amazing. I’ll be sharing it next month in my New Again series. I can’t wait to show you! Have you done a recent home project?
What was your favorite meal this week? Ours? Build your own burritos. When your college kid is missing Pancheros, we make our own.

Pretty Bible Verse Printables- Psalm 4

Pretty Bible Verse Printables to print from home and hang to be reminded of God’s peace and security.

This week in my quiet time I started reading a Psalm a day and seeing where the passage would take me next.

Yesterday, reading Psalm 4, I was reminded how God brings His peace and comfort to us when we go to The Word. There were several parts of the verses that I wanted to remember and keep close so I decided to design a few pretty printables.

I made four FREE 8 X 10 prints that can be downloaded and printed from home. You can hang the four together or pick one for your gallery wall and spread the others to various vignettes around the house. If you don’t have any free frames, use a clipboard or even sticks. (You can see how I used sticks to frame a page here and in this video.)

One of the things I do when I wake up without an alarm in the mornings is lay and cuddle longer in bed and pray. Psalm 4:4 encourages just that, to our time falling asleep and waking up to be sill and quiet, to pray and search our hearts. If there is ever a time I feel overwhelmed I sometimes will go close my eyes and lay on my bed, pray and rebalance myself for a few minutes.

Fill my heart with Joy! This is just what we need. I love this reminder that the light of the Lord shines on me and you. The past few days have been sunny here in The Northwoods of Wisconsin. It’s April, and even though some grass is starting to peek through, we still have piles of snow on the ground. The lake behind our house is still frozen. But the recent sunshine and warmer temps have us sitting in the driveway with our faces to the sun soaking it in! It reminds me to soak in His light!

Many battle with anxiety and the current situation has fears and worries trying to take hold. Bedtime can be especially hard. When laying down, no longer able to keep busy and keep restless thoughts at bay, its helpful to keep the promise of Psalm 4:8 in our hearts. God can give us peace so that we can lie down to sleep. Just reading this verse, hanging it where we can see the reminder and repeating it to ourselves may be enough. If its not, pray for peace and for God to bring help and solutions to us whether through books, friends, doctors or therapists.

I like to print off pretty quotes and verses and put them in a journal I keep or hang them on my mirror. This 8 X 10 Printable sheet holds all four of the quotes so you can have a smaller version to do the same.

FREE Fourth of July Printables

This Summer I checked another item off my blog checklist. I have been wanting to hire an intern to help with all the projects, like printables, and dreams I have for White Arrows Home and the perfect candidate just happened to be coming home from college for the Summer. My daughter.

Hot Chocolate Bar- A Cozy Winter Treat and Free Printable

Winter can bring fun days spent outside enjoying cold weather activities. It can also bring many a snow day stuck at home. All these moments require one thing… hot chocolate. Hot chocolate has the power to not only warm you up physically, but emotionally too. Nothing makes you feel more special than a steaming cup overflowing with marshmallows!

I keep a hot chocolate bar set up all winter long. I style it so that it is attractive to have out all season.

I like to keep everything out where it can easily be self service. The kids are able to make their own cup before coming over to play a favorite board game like Clue.

This sign is printed on burlap. I loved the font, the colors and the message on it when I found it at Hobby Lobby.

Mixing in vintage pieces like this old chippy scale adds interest and height to the space making it more eye appealing.

Paper straws are something I pick up whenever I find them at Target Dollar Spot, the Dollar Store or TJMaxx. I love adding them to drinks for the kids or guests.

Vintage Campfire Marshmallow tins are one of my favorite items to keep my eye out for.

One of our favorite snow day activities is a long game of Monopoly!

One of the best ways to make a cup of hot chocolate feel special is to have things to add to it:

In this corner of the dining room I set up a hot chocolate bar with the Keurig. Hot Chocolate K cups make it very easy to make your own cup. I made a printable to add to the decor “Marshmallow Bar, Just Add Hot Chocolate” (see below to download your own FREE copy.)

These Smash Mallow marshmallows were a big hit at our house and the Java Chip were the unanimous favorite during a taste test.
