I also love red geraniums and have them in pots and hanging baskets all over my deck, porches, tables, steps, etc. I actually just re-potted more this morning that I bought on clearance yesterday. Last year I decided to switch things up, and I bought white geraniums. They were pretty the first few days of blooming, but the spent blooms seemed to quickly turn brownish and looked ugly while waiting for new blooms (maybe it was due to our record-breaking temps last summer). I’m back to red… so cheerful! I will try to follow Kim’s advice for over wintering. Thank you for the post!
