I have “a thing” for the Macy’s Day Parade. I’ve been watching it with delight since I was a kid. Even with lots of guests to feed for the big feast, I leave it on the TV and take peeks of the Rockettes, big balloons and Santa’s arrival. A decade ago, my oldest son’s job took him to NYC. His first year there, I packed up a turkey in a cooler and brought all the fixings to make the feast in his condo. But, beforehand, we heading outside to watch the parade go by — just a few blocks away. It was a bucket list moment I want to do again! What a blast. When the (then) new Buzz Lightyear balloon based overhead I couldn’t believe how BIG it was! Next time we are going to watch them blow up the balloons the night before.
