Welcome to our home! My hope is that your “visit” here will leave you feeling inspired, encouraged and refreshed. Grab a cup of coffee, find your favorite comfortable spot and let’s get to know each other. How do you like your coffee? Hot or cold? With cream and sugar? I usually always drink dark roast, black, and if given the choice decaf. You can get to know me better here.
I love the green adirondack chairs I found at the local hardware store. They are a must have style for any cabin or cottage. When it gets dark early in the winter the light from the lanterns is a warm welcome home in the evenings. Birch logs and pine cones in a wire basket add another layer. We usually keep bug lightbulbs in our sconces that cast a warm yellow light, but these pictures were taken transitioning after Christmas decor when the kids voted to have red and green lights. I love letting the kids add their touch.
One of my favorite parts of our house is the front door with the stained glass surround and brass handle.
I have a weakness for red skis! When I see a pair with personality I can’ t pass them by. Another pair from the collection hang in the guest bath.
The stripped pillow is from Home Goods. The cabin sign and metal basket are from the hardware store. The lanterns I found at Shopko.
See other porch ideas on my pinterest front porch page. I would love for you to follow me there.

Kristin, I love your front porch! It’s so welcoming. It makes me want to take a cup of coffee and a cozy throw out there and talk or read a book for hours. Beautiful styling!
