Our dining room is one of my favorite rooms in the house (o.k. – they are all my favorites! Just like my kids!) It is next to the kitchen and french doors open onto the deck and into the sunroom. Lots of great memories are made around this table sharing about our days over dinner or long breakfasts spent planning out the day ahead.
The wonderful farm table is from Crate and Barrel. I like to refer to it as a Walton’s table. One of my favorite shows growing up, and that I’ve shared with my kids, was The Waltons. Do you remember their kitchen table? A big, long farm table surrounded by a big loving family. Just like us!
One of my favorite hobbies is to set the tablescape, whether it be for a weeknight dinner, Sunday brunch or any other gathering. I am always drawn to plaids and when I saw these placemats and table runner at a local store I was thrilled. I layered the plaid with my burlap placemats. The napkins are from Kohl’s and look like a vintage camp fabric.
The antique candle mold my husband and I found at an antique market in Chicago years ago. I fill it with different things. This time it has candles, antlers, and some white flowers to help bring in a transition to spring.

Love your dining room! Old hickory chairs are the perfect coupling to the table. Keep on posting girl. Can’t wait to see what you treat us with next.
