Whether you are home for a staycation, inside for a rainy day or social distancing, these games are my kids’ favorites for staying active indoors. They provide hours of laughter and fun! These games are fun for all ages. Parents and Grandparents can join in too!
Mini Basketball
My kids love to hang this mini basketball hoop on the back of their closet doors and shoot hoops and hold tournaments.
Snowball Fights
Having mini snowball fights provides lots of fun. My kids set up bases behind couches and cushions. They build forts and divide the snowballs between themselves then start throwing these soft balls around the basement family room.
Hover Soccer
Thissoccer ball slides across the carpet and stays on the ground. The hockey nets in the activity below work great with this soccer game too or make your own goals with a chair.
Shinny
Shinny (knee hockey) can occupy my kids for hours. They play hockey games one on one or make teams and play until their is a champion.
Spikeball
Spikeball is a favorite outside game that works great inside too. The kids stand in a circle around the bouncy net and follow the rules to bounce the ball almost like a four square game.
Tabletop Ping Pong
Table top ping pong is one of the favorite things our family has purchased. It is an affordable way to have a fun game when you want it out, but can be put away when you are done. We put the net right over our dining room table.
Indoor Badminton
Ever since my oldest son played badminton in gym class, my kids have all loved this game. Indoor badminton gets them moving and the soft birdies won’t break anything.
