Up next, Erik shared a song called “Going North” by Missy Higgins, a perfect song to enjoy on your way up north!
Following this song, Erik shared another song from Charlie Berens and Greuel called “Goin Up Nort.” This song is a fun listen for sure!
Then, I share an article about the oldest cabins in America highlighting the oldest cabin, a cabin from 1638. This cabin is one bedroom and built from oak, and is now for sale for the first time in 50 years for $2.9 million dollars.
Coincidentally, Erik shares an update on this home, whose price has been significantly reduced to $800,000 dollars.
Following this, I share another “Cabin in the News” about the history of cabins and how they were perceived in their earliest form.
“Building their own log cabin was a stepping stone to a better life, education and path for their children.” -Erik
I also share a fun fact that Lincoln Logs were created by Frank Loyd Wright’s son which was included in the second article.
“Things are built with craftsmanship and good materials, they can last a lifetime.” -Kristin
That concludes another episode of The Cabincast, be sure to tune in next week for some more cabin-filled content!
