How are you spending your Saturday?

We are flying home from a wonderful quick trip to Denver to visit my parents and watch my niece’s basketball game at Metropolitan State University.

Denver is such a fun place to visit for so many reasons:

All the sporting activities from the professional and college sports in town. Besides my niece’s game we also went to a Nuggets basketball game.
The downtown is so walkable, clean and full of great restaurants, shopping and cultural activities like museums and theater. I especially loved Union Station, the Dairy Block & Milk Market and Larimer Square. I was so inspired!

There’s no need to rent a car when you can take the train right from the airport into the gorgeous Union Station right downtown and walk to so many beautiful hotel options. And Union Station has so much to offer. It’s like walking back in time with the beautiful lobby, places to sit and little spots to grab a treat, a drink, some coffee, even flowers or waffles! One afternoon we sat in the sunshine at the outside seating for lunch at Stoic & Genuine. The atmosphere and the food was amazing!
The kids stayed with my parents and Brian and I stayed in the charming and iconic Oxford Hotel, just steps from Union Station. It had a beautiful lobby, gorgeous rooms, a wonderful little continental breakfast and a great workout facility. The restaurant attached, Urban Farmer, served fresh, delicious cocktails like the Bunny Radio I had with Fords Gin, aperol, strawberry, carrot juice, celery, cucumber and lemon! A garden in a glass!

We also enjoyed ice cream in Larimer Square at Van Leeuwen after a delightful dinner at Osteria Marco. Their homemade burrata was such a treat!
