Decorating our homes for Valentine’s Day can come in many different styles. Some people love to decorate using traditional pinks, reds, hearts and symbols of the holiday. Others enjoy adding an elegance and romance to their homes in their dining rooms and tablescapes. Last year I participated in a Round Up of several talented home decor bloggers sharing how they Love Their Homes for Valentine’s Day. You will find an abundance of ideas for whatever style you prefer.
The Round Up is full of peeks into eight other blogs and has links directly to their inspiring pages. Here’s a peek into how I decorate for Valentine’s Day.

I love to mix old and new. I set up a vignette in the breakfast room using a variety of items I found around the house. I call this “Shopping my Home.” I wanted to find fun red, pink and white items I had around and see how to pull them together. My vintage soda crates in reds and whites were the first pieces I grabbed. Then I stacked them on top of a buffalo plaid runner from Hobby Lobby with a few other vintage pieces like my chippy red scale and a red striped thermos. A little red cake stand from Home Goods holds a Valentine bowl from Walmart full of candy hearts. Other Walmart Valentine decor pieces and a heart garland finish the arrangement.
Valentine’s decor can be as easy as adding in a simple throw pillow covered in hearts. I found mine at Walmart and added it to the welcome bench in our entryway.
My birthday comes at the end of January and I always get a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my parents. I used my plaid Scotch cooler as a vase.
These sweet little wooden signs are from a favorite Etsy shop Little Creek Uniques. They add the perfect rustic Valentine touch wherever I set them!
A romantic dinner by the fire is the perfect Valentine’s Date Night. Our antler chairs and bistro table were moved in front of the fireplace to make a cozy space for two. The pine cone candle holders were the unity candles at our wedding back in 1998. They are kept out all the time somewhere in my decor to remind us of the love our home is built on.
I draped a heart garland from the mantle to give simple decor to the evening.
The Blog Round Up has even more ideas for you, and for me, and I love the Romantic tablescapes and Valentine decor in these talented bloggers homes.
I’ll be excited to share more inspiration with you each day on:
