HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK
My trip exploring Nashville for my daughter’s college visit was so fun.
Here are some of my favorite stops:
- The neighborhood of 12 South and its shops and restaurants. The cutest pumpkin stand was set up and there are photo spots galore. We had a delicious brunch at Butter Milk Ranch.
- We took the short drive to Franklin enjoying the afternoon on their main street and nearby antique shops.
- Church at my niece’s church The Belonging Co. It was a beautiful morning in worship and hearing Pastor Henry’s teaching. The Belonging Co. has produced some of my favorite songs. They have a new album out, Pneuma. Listen HERE. My favorite is Alter Call.
A huge praise the Lord for selling our city house. So many beautiful memories there and hard to say goodbye. I think it’s because it was our first home where we had all our children there and I had so much fun being a stay at home mom with them. But it’s the end of that season and I hope the new owners find just as many blessings living there.
What I’m Reading
My local book club I’ve been in for almost ten years is reading Wolf Hollow by Victoria Houston.
Houston is a local Northwoods author who has written nineteen books in her Loon Lake mystery series.
We meet once a month and whoever is hosting next chooses the book to read and discuss for the month ahead.
Are you local and wanting to join a book club? Check out the monthly club at my shop, the third Thursday of each month. Sign up HERE.
