It’s the first of November and I am thrilled to announce the first books for the White Arrows Home Book Club! Below I’m sharing the 3 books that I will be reading. Choose to read all three with me, read two or read one, whatever interests you. These are not books I have read before, I’m reading them right along with you! I’ll be holding discussions on Instagram where we can share our thoughts and discoveries!

Book 1
I am hosting my local girlfriends’ book club this next month and was excited to choose a book that has been in my “To Read” pile, The Great Alone. It is equally exciting for me to choose it then as my first White Arrows Home Book Club read.
Kristin Hannah, author of The Nightingale, published The Great Alone in February 2018 and it was an instant New York Times bestseller.
In 1974, Vietnam Vet and POW Ernt Allbright moves his wife and 13 year old daugher Leni to Alaska to try and find peace from his deep trauma. Leni is coming of age through the story surrounded by interesting hard as nails characters and the beauty of the great frontier. A book about survival, not just from the unforgiving winters and off grid life of Alaska, but from the pressures from within. Can their family survive?

Book 2
My Wait Time book is a book I keep in my purse or in my car so I always have it on hand when I am waiting to pick up kids, in a waiting room or in line. It’s a book that I can pick up and put down without having to reread what happened before. It keeps my interest so that I am excited to have wait time to read more. It turns what was wasted time into learning time. Wait Time books for me are usually about professional and personal growth.
Hunch, Turning Your Everyday Insights Into the Next Big Thing by Bernadette Jiwa is my selection this month.
Hunch was published in June of 2017 and encourages readers to listen to their intuition. It shares success stories and gives sparks for reflection on your own creativity and ideas.

Book 3
My quiet time book. I usually read one chapter or the equivalent a day. Sharing stories of Women in the Bible and of today, Jackie Green and Lauren Green McAfee (a mother/daughter team), give us inspiration into how our ordinary, everyday moments in life matter. in Only One Life. It’s a book to bring attention to our unique calling of a life of faithfulness that lives a legacy.
I am itching to get into this book! I love reading about inspiring women and their lives and this read is full of them!
