January begins what I think of as The Reading Season. There’s extra time with darkness coming early to curl up near the fire and cozy up with a good book.

by Brene Brown
Just the word RESET in the title draws me to this book for the New Year. I’ve been wanting to dive into a Brene Brown book and am excited to see what insights this New York Times Bestselling Author has for me. She’s sharing stories from leaders and everyday people sharing their stories of reselince.

Quiet Time Read
by Annie Downs
Annie Downs takes a look at characters from the Bible and how, even through hardship, they endured and found peace and the goodness in God’s timing in her book and bible study Looking for Lovely . I bought both the book and bible study, but you can buy just one of the choices as well to find inspiration for growing your faith and getting into the Word.
Just Because I Love to Read

There are several things that enchanted me right away reading the synopsis of The Hideaway. The main character owns an antique shop, and upon heading home to Louisiana to hear her Grandmother’s will finds she is left with the task of renovating The Hideaway, her Grandmother’s falling down B & B. Through the rehab she learns more about her Grandmother’s past. How could I not choose this book? Great Southern Characters + Antiques + Home Reno + Mystery = all my favorite things! And I know it’s the same for many of you!

I’ve also been reading All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin, for my local friends’ book club here in Minocqua and I wanted to share this title with you. This story shares how one photo shared from a party with teenagers drinking changes everything. Our group has teachers, moms and grandmas in it and our discussion about this book will be very interesting.
