I’m so excited to be joining another seasonal blog tour hosted by Marty of A Stroll Thru Life. All week long six blogs will be sharing inspiration for your Spring decor each day.
If you have been following along the tour today then I’m wrapping up Monday’s lineup and you just left Laura’s at Decor to Adore.
Now welcome to White Arrows Home where I blog about home decor and lifestyle from the backdrop of our lakeside log cabin home, Camp Paradise, in The Northwoods of Wisconsin.
Spring is almost more of an idea than a reality here Up North. This year we have not had as much snow as usual. Snow typically can stick around into April. Last year our lake didn’t thaw until May 1. And we are swimming and boating by Memorial Day. That doesn’t leave a lot of room for Spring. So I add it indoors little by little.
My favorite way to add Spring indoors is with
- Fresh Flowers
- Green
When you come in my cabin you are greeted by our carved bear who holds our guest book. I added a pot of bright fresh flowers in a milk glass pot.
You can find decor like mine including this guestbook in my Shop, White Arrows Home. We are open Monday- Saturday 10-5 and online 24/7.
I change up my throw pillows to give a quick, easy fresh look as the seasons. For Spring I swapped in greens and blues. I keep my stacks of books on the coffee table in the same shades.
I styled our entry table with a favorite woven basket, greenery, candles and little birds. I shared the details in this recent post.
I love the simplicity of adding a boxwood ball on top of an old trophy.
To freshen things up for Spring I change out the throw pillows in the great room too to brighter colors.
I collect vintage picnic baskets in a variety of colors and sizes. Some are metal and some are woven. I pulled out three green ones to stack next to the desk in the great room for a pop of Spring color.
I also collect vintage tea cups and espresso cups. This little one is a favorite and the perfect treat. I enjoy coffee any time of the day!
Every home needs a vintage typewriter don’t you think!
Adding in decor for the holidays that happen in the Spring is a favorite way to decorate this time of year. I always love to bring in some of my vintage books. For a bit of St. Patrick’s Day I stacked a few green books and added a little festive sign I found a few years ago at Walmart. I collect vintage lanterns and brought one of my green ones into the vignette.
A few weeks ago I found this cute milk bottle while I was #thriftingwiththegals, my weekly Wednesday story event with a few friends on Instagram. You can follow along each week to see our favorite shops and finds. I thought this bottle would be a fun vase for St. Patrick’s Day.
Be sure to follow along all week for more inspiration!
