Winter decor brings coziness to the Great Room of Kristin Lenz’s log cabin home.
I’m so excited to be joining an amazing group of bloggers for the Cozy Winter Homes Tour Blog Hop hosted by Amber of Follow the Yellow Brick Home. If you are coming over from First Day of Home welcome to our lakeside log cabin home in The Northwoods of Wisconsin where we got over 100 inches of snow last Winter! So having a cozy space to warm up inside is essential!

Do you take naps? I’m not very good at them. I tend to lay there and think about all the things I should be doing instead. And if I do fall asleep, I tend to wake up groggy.
Now, my husband he’s a professional. He’s been a napper as long I’ve known him. He can say I’m going to take 10 minute nap, lay down and with no alarm clock wake up in ten minutes. It’s like a super power!
Even though I don’t nap often, I do still love to slow down, curl up and get comfy. In the Winter my favorite spot to be is in front of the fire. I love to do my work there, to write and read.
The Bear Print and the This is the Life sign I found at Hobby Lobby. The white fur and feather trees I’ve had for years. My favorite places to find trees like these are Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx and Target. I grabbed my remote control battery operated candles from Walmart.
These barnwood vases were one of the first gifts I got from my husband. He found them in a shop in Montana by a local craftsman. These candles smell like a winter walk in the woods.
I love mixing in vintage pieces like this old silver trophy and stack of old books.
Thanks so much for joining me! I hope you have found inspiration that encourages you to subscribe and visit regularly! I’d love to have you along for the journey!
If you are following the tour in order you are headed to my friend Carol’s Bluesky at Home beautiful home next. See below for links to all those participating.

Your home is always the coziest since you are the only person I know who lives in a log cabin in the woods. What a wonderful place to snuggle up before a fire with a good book and enjoy all the little items you have on display. Happy hibernating.

You live in the ultimate cozy winter place. Seriously. Oh, and Guess what? I must be a professional too because I can do the same thing with naps. 10 minutes and I’m up and perfectly refreshed! LOL. i started college in my 40s … working full-time with a young son. I’d come home from work, change, crash on the sofa for 20 minutes…look at the clock & think “I have to be up by…” 20 minutes later I’d be awake & within a few minutes I’d be on my way to school about 35 minutes away. I’m retired now but I truly enjoy by short naps…usually still 2o minutes. And then ready to go again.

I’m responding to you while my hubby takes a short nap on the sofa next to me! 🙂 You and he both have a Super power!!!
