HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK
- Getting photos from my daughter in Germany is such a highlight of my days. This week she sent this gorgeous view from her hike.
- My team from White Arrows Home the Shop takes a staff getaway each Fall. This year we went to Duluth, Minnesota. It’s about a three hour drive from Minocqua. Duluth is such a fun town. Be sure to add it to your bucket list! We attended the Duluth Junk Hunt and had a great time together! Diana made us all the cutest matching hats!
- We went to our son’s football game in Dubuque. It was such an exciting game and an exciting win in overtime!
What I’m Reading
For the past several years I have included in my Advent reading the devotional by She Reads Truth.
I’ve gifted the same one to both of my daughters and the He Reads truth version to my sons.
I gift them the books over Thanksgiving when we are all together.
It’s a wonderful way to focus on the meaning of the Christmas season and to stay connected in such a meaningful way with my kids as we chat about what we are reading each week in our conversations.

What I’m Watching
I finished the third season of Sweet Magnolias on Netflix. This show charms me so much with the stories of true friendship and community.
The characters, the settings, the outfits, everything.
It makes me smile, laugh, cry and feel good like I do watching Gilmore Girls or Virgin River.
What I’m Listening To
On the ride back from Iowa on Saturday night I was listening to one of my favorite IMusic Playlists and watching the beauty of the rolling farm fields.
My husband was driving and listening to a podcast I wasn’t interested in.
I try to not always be reading, writing or working while in the car, but take time to be quiet and look at the surroundings out the window.
As it got dark, I switched from listening and looking to watching music videos on YouTube.
