I am usually not a scary Halloween girl. I’m more of a cute Halloween girl. I like jolly jack o’ lanterns and friendly ghosts. And because I’m not afraid of spiders, they were fair game to inspire my Halloween table.
Most of my Halloween decor are things I have had for years. Mostly collected from places like TJMaxx and Homegoods.
Under one of my favorite Fall trees, I brought around a table from our back patio. This giant maple is stunning in October when all it’s leaves turn golden and with some starting to blanket the ground underneath I thought it would be the perfect setting for a little party.
My old spiderweb table cloth was my starting point. I decided black and white would be the main colors so I brought out two buffalo plaid pillows for the chairs.
Three black spider candleholders hold mini pumpkins instead of lights.
I added in a Happy Halloween sign from Adams and Co.
A few Halloween treats are already on the table with room for guests to add their “dish to pass”. What term is used where you live for potlucks or to bring a dish along to share?
Blue corn chips in a bowl get the fancy treatment when set inside a feather wreath. Guacamole on the side in a buffalo plaid dish. It’s rare to come to my house and not find something buffalo plaid always nearby. The Northwoods of Wisconsin, where we live, has been sporting buffalo plaid since forever! It’s a classic and traditional pattern that will never go out of style. I’ve loved that it has been popular the past several years and I’ve been able to find so many great things in the pattern, like this serving bowl.
Halloween hot chocolate becomes more festive when topped with pumpkin marshmallows.
I placed a lantern and some extra pumpkins around the table to finish the scene.
I’m so glad you came to visit! Next up on the tour is Sweet Sensations! You will love her gorgeous table!

That setting is gorgeous and so perfect, Kristin! Dish to pass – I like that, and it’s much more telling than ‘potluck dish’, which is what I’ve always been used to. Potluck just sounds like something that may or may not be good, while dish to pass sounds like something you’d want to have a bit of. Speaking of a bit of….those little marshmallow pumpkins are the cutest! And yep, you’re the queen of buffalo check. You were donning it way before it was the trend. Classic.

Thanks so much Rita! I love that term too, it sounds so welcoming! Fun to hop with you!

Kristen, what a delightful setting for your fall table. Your gorgeous tree adds such a beautiful backdrop for your pretty table. I never thought of how much blue corn chips and guacamole make a delightful halloween themed snack. Those pumpkin marshmallows are adorable! Just right for some seasonal hot chocolate! Thank you so much for joining in our hop once again. A visit to white arrows is always a delight!

What a beautiful setting to have a “northwoods” Halloween. It is so nice to hear how you bring Wisconsin to so many people with your mention of potlucks and northwoods buffalo checks which have been in existence forever in Wisconsin. Your spider candlesticks are perfect for your outdoor tablescape and gathering. I haven’t seen any pumpkin marshmallows anywhere. Did you make them? What a fun way to celebrate Halloween in the great outdoors. Happy Halloween.

Your table is set against the perfect fall backdrop! Every kid should go trick or treating with the sound of crunching leaves under their feet! Even though there are spiders involved, this looks like a fun place to sit and enjoy a cup of cocoa on a beautiful fall day. Have a wonderful Halloween!

mother nature provided the best background ever for your table. The spiders are far from scary and an edible treat on a tablescape is always a welcome treat. Have a fun Halloween and thanks for sharing this beautiful table with us.

Kristin, I am witch green with envy of the table setting under the golden yellow, leafy tree! Not on do we have little to no color hear in PA, but the powerful cold winds have knocked many leaves off the trees anyway. Would love to join you for a cup of hot chocolate!

Wish you could hop right on over here to share some hot chocolate!

Beautiful setting for your cute Halloween table. I love the falling leaves. The spider candle holders are too cute. Fun little snacks to nibble on too. I am used to the old term potluck, however dish to pass sounds great. A nice cup of cocoa sounds great. A pleasure joining you on this fun blog hop.

I feel like I’m looking at a beautiful scene from some movie about magic because your Halloween table looks so enchanting! Falling leaves are gorgeous and spider candle holders are so cute. The treats look delicious as well. I understand why you picked this spot, there’s nothing quite like nature in autumn that provides such a wonderful scenery for family gatherings.
