There are so many fun ways to style in seasonal decor by decorating in the entryway and on tables. Find inspiration from Kristin Lenz as she shares photos from around her cabin.
I’m excited to be be part of the Celebrate Christmas Blog Hop today hosted by Sand Dollar Lane. Twenty seven bloggers have come together to inspire you this Holiday season with home decor, gift ideas and tablescapes. You can find a full list and links of the participants at the bottom of this post.
I love to decorate spaces throughout my home with little vignettes of collected items new and old. I’ll be giving you a tour through parts of our home to show you how I add touches of Christmas in spaces besides the porch, mantel and tree. If you are coming over from Kippi at Home welcome to our Lakeside Log Cabin Home in The Northwoods of Wisconsin.
The church pew in our entry way was one of the first antiques I ever bought. I bought it in Texas in High School and have loved it ever since. You can see some of the vignettes I styled from this view- above the cubbies, on the entry buffet and inside the kitchen.
The red buffalo plaid sheet I found at Walmart works as a great way to hide the clutter! We just drilled a curtain rod to the top of the cubbies and then using hanging clips, hung it right up!
The top of the entryway buffet table becomes a glittery forest.
In the kitchen I have a few of my favorite things on the corner of the island. The Santa cookie jar was a wedding gift from a friend. Our red radio plays Christmas music all day long. And I took a clear jar and filled it with red and white candy ornaments. The cookie cutters are the kind I used as a kid growing up baking with my mom.
The corner of the dining room has a little shelf where we store some games. See our favorite games here and here. It works well to keep them in easy reach from the table to encourage playing some together. On top of the shelf I styled some favorite thermos and a Campfire Marshmallow Tin.
Our Honey and Scout salt and pepper shakers stand guard over the marshmallows! My daughter made these in downtown Minocqua at Earth Goods.
I love this spot and decorating the desk with a vintage green typewriter and some plaid festive pillows makes it the perfect spot to type a letter to Santa.
Our basement room off the lake has a nautical theme. I set up a vignette with vintage red water skis, a vintage truck and a striped tin of greens. I used a Scotch plaid cooler as a tree skirt and used bobbers as ornaments.
Thanks so much for coming to visit! Hope you are leaving with lots of ideas and inspiration! Next up you will love visiting Cribbs Style.

I always enjoy touring your home and today is no exception. You create the best vignettes with your vintage finds. I think today was my first glimpse at your basement family room. It looks like a great place to hang out. Love the tree in the plaid cooler decorated with bobbers. Perfect for your lake house!

Pretty decor. I just made a small tiered tray vignette. I did not want to spend a lot of money. so i got a few things at the target dollar spot and things that I had in the house.
