I credit our little cabin in the woods on Laura. Being a little girl in the late 70s and 80s Little House on the Prairie was my favorite show. It was where my nostalgia for what a cabin could hold- family, warmth, laughter and memory making, came from. Actually, it still is a favorite show. As a grown up I’ve watched each and every season with Brian and our kids and they loved it as well.
Reading Laura’s books are treasured moments. It was an amazing experience to read them as a child and then read them again with my daughter as a young woman.
Laura was born over 150 years ago today, February 7, 1867. In honor of her birthday, I’m sharing six FREE printables I made of some of my favorite Laura Ingalls Wilder quotes.

Loved Little House on the Prairie.
I had all the books in hardback. I had received them as a gift.
Loved the show.
My family and I actually were able to go to the location in the Simi Valley of Southern California where they would shot some of the scenes.

I always loved Little House on the prairie as well. it’s funny how we connect to some shows as we grow up and for me The Walton’s was “my” show. Everything about it reminded me of home and growing up on a farm. I have a lot of the video’s of it and to this day (I’m over 60 now!) , makes me very emotional to watch. So much of it reminds me of my parents (both long gone now) so, it is very bittersweet for me, But, I still love them! Thanks so much for this post…????

I loved the Waltons too!!! Such a wonderful show! I call our dining room table our Walton’s table because I treasured that on the show! How wonderful that it makes you think of your parents!!! So special!

I am visiting from the Blogger’s Pit Stop. I always loved Little House. The show deviated from the books but it was also equally enjoyable

Little House on the Prairie was one of my favorite book series! As my husband and I have begun to work on becoming more self-reliant, Laura and her family occasionally come to mind. Over the last few months, I’ve started focusing more and more on being “more like Laura” with more homemade meals, desserts, and focusing more on the family and home. I need to pull my books out and read them with my youngest two boys (ages 8 and 9). I think they’ll love them. Thanks for the great quotes! ~Adrienne from Gluten Free Preppers and a member of the Blogger’s Pit Stop Crew
