A New Adventure- Blogging

I am an Idea person. I love to make plans, solve problems, design projects, and dream. One of my dreams for many years was to write a blog. I bought Blogging for Dummies a few years back and then kept the day dream going in my head. I wrote down all my ideas in a journal and then kept the day dream going.

A few years ago I started following a few bloggers writing about entertaining and party styling when I was helping plan and decorate for some local fundraisers. Then, I started to follow some talented ladies who enjoy styling and decorating their homes. I found my people.

I have lots of things that make me happy. Decorating my house is one of those happy things.

I don’t usually set New Year’s Resolutions because I am constantly setting goals for myself, but the  Christmas of 2015 I saw a quote on Pinterest about being bold and it resonated with me. (Check out my Pinterest page~ Be Bold for inspiration.)  So, in the New Year I decided to act on one of my day dreams. I met with a friend to listen to my ideas and help design my logo. Then I started to learn a foreign language: building a Blog! But, one of the fun parts of this is the act of learning something new.

A quote I heard watching a talk show (maybe it was Fallon) interview LL Cool J inspired me too that it is never too late.

I also always think about one of our favorite family movies, the comedy What About Bob? where Bob is learning to take Baby Steps. I highly recommend this movie (see more of our favorite lake movies in this post). I think of myself each day too as taking Baby Steps toward my goals. Some days I make a lot of progress, and others just a few steps, but I try to make steps every day.

I am still on this Adventure trying to make strides and learn everyday. And I am so thankful for the support I’ve had from family and friends and the encouragement from my readers. The Adventure will continue as I learn more about photography and how to continue writing content that is interesting, inspiring, and entertaining for all of you. I am having so much fun!
