Kristin Lenz shares a creative way to entertain friends for a Christmas get together. Setting the buffet at one end of her table and the seating at the other, she creates a stunning backdrop for Holiday gathering.
I’m excited to be part of a Christmas Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by Chloe of Celebrate & Decorate. If you are coming over from Life and Linda welcome to our rustic log cabin home.
I love to use my table in different ways. I often set up zones for seating and the food depending on how many people I’m serving. The tablecloth is a favorite blanket from Roughing It In Style.

This North Star box I found this Fall at a Vintage Market was the starting point for my table. I set two trees from Hobby Lobby inside and a tin stand to hold a gold star.
My Godfather started giving me a piece of Spode Christmas china every Christmas when I was a little girl. It was the most meaningful gift and I treasure it now! I wrote a post about starting the tradition yourself and some of my favorite patterns here.
These trees in green from Hobby Lobby I used to make a centerpiece in between the three placesettings at one end of the table. Green goblets and dish towels used as napkins are from the local dollar store. The placemats are my favorite cork backed style from Pottery Barn.
This punch bowl was a fun gift from my girlfriends for my birthday a few years ago. Here’s a delicious punch to serve for your holiday entertaining.
I always love sipping Baileys in the winter. I’ll fill the bigger vintage Holly dish with ice. The plaid tray is from Hobby Lobby. The Spode paper napkins that go with my china pattern I found at TJ Maxx.
A tiered stand will hold treats.

Kristin, what a thoughtful tradition of your Godfather — did he know you’d be a plate addict someday LOL?! And, how terrific the Spode looks with the buffalo check linens. In my table post, I too mention how we drink Baileys every Christmas Eve — Now my adult sons join us. Hubby and I would enjoy glasses in front of the fire waiting for the boys to fall asleep and Santa to arrive. One year, when I was pregnant with our youngest, my husband had a very sobering experience at 5 AM — my water broke! Our son arrived a day early, and is the single best gift I’ve ever received.

Sure wish we could enjoy a glass of Bailey’s by the fire together Deebee! I love the story of your son’s arrival!! How wonderful!! I think I can blame my God father for this whole thing right! LOL!! Merry Christmas!
