Doesn’t it feel like Summer is going by way too fast? I’m wanting to just hold on to each day and let it linger longer! There is so much I love about Summer and time spent with family and friends at our lakeside cottage in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
I’m excited to share with you a bit of our Summer decor, our mantel in the Great Room. As part of the Summer Festival Blog Hop organized by Kendra of Joy In Our Home , I’m one of four bloggers sharing inspiration for Summer mantels. At the bottom of this post you can also find links for Summer vignettes, tablescapes, porches and recipes all included on this amazing tour.

If you are coming over from DIY Beautify, welcome! My summer mantel is done up in Red, White and Blue and nautical themes. Living on the lake I keep up these colors, my flags and sailing decor all summer, not just for the Fourth of July.
One of the easiest ways to add a touch of Summer to decor is by adding flags. These flags only cost a few dollars, so it’s a very affordable way too!
Vintage trophies are something I would love to continue to collect when I can find them at affordable prices. The little silver cups are sailing trophies.
New pieces like this Pier 1 lantern and Lake sign from TJ Maxx mix well with all my vintage items like the little sailing trophy and these oil paintings.
One of my favorite things to hunt for while antiquing are books with outdoor and cabin titles.
I collect Campfire Girls books, camp blankets and vintage picnic baskets. I love pulling in pieces that go with the color schemes I’m using for the seasons.
Next, you can head over to Repurpose and Upcycle or visit any of the amazing blogs on the tour through the links below. Enjoy all the inspiration and enjoy Summer. Make each day linger longer!

Kristin, enchanting as always. Love your special collection items. Here in Pittsburgh, I have a lodge theme to our finished basement game room. It’s full of moose, although right now the room is also populated by a Mad Hatter and friends I have yet to put away from the party!

Thanks so much Debbee! I bet your moose are having fun at the Mad Hatter party!! 🙂
