A look back at the week and what’s inspiring me and I’m excited to share with you.
I hope you’ve had a wonderful week and are looking forward to the week ahead.
The weekend for you, hopefully has been relaxing and full of fun.
Here’s a little bit of what’s been going on from my neck of the woods.

Football started this week for my high school son and my husband who helps coach, so they have had practice every night this past week.
The rest of us have enjoyed our evenings down on the dock.
I’m excited for football season, but also soaking up that we still have many days of Summer left.
Even though sports have begun, school doesn’t start until Labor Day here.
Highlights of the Week
- We got back from Montana on Monday. Our time there each Summer is always a highlight of the year.
- Morning walks with my dogs this Summer gets me going in the morning toward sunlight, fresh air and movement right away to start my day. I bet many of you begin your day the same way.
- Time on the dock book ends many of my days as I enjoy morning time there reflecting, praying and reading then visiting with my family drinking my Forage Kombucha in the evenings.
What I’m Reading
My local book club read and discussed Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus last month and I really enjoyed that read. We had so much to talk about when we got together.
I’m excited too, because it’s been adapted to a show on Apple TV+ airing this Fall.
For August we are reading Five Little Indians by Michelle Good.
I’m listening to it on audio.
That’s how I do most of my fiction books because I can listen as I drive, garden, workout or do household chores.
The other books I’m reading this month I do in hard or paperback.

Fun Finds
If I’m in Chicago or Milwaukee’s Third Ward, a walk/shop through Anthropologie is on my to do list. I love the inspiration and unique products I find. Here are some to shop online.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
I hope it was a weekend with memories to reflect on for years to come!
When my kids all get time together they play Olympics.
They play everything from Scattegories to basketball, Crossnet and Blokus. They even set up obstacle courses and croquet.
It lasts days and includes all their favorite activities to do together.
They have a winners board (on a white board) where they tally the medal winnings. They choose countries and dress in their colors.
So I’m heading outside to write and enjoy the festivities!
