WEEKEND PLANS

How are you spending your Saturday?

I’m on the Board of Trustees for my alma mater, Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We meet a couple of times a year and this weekend is our Spring meeting on campus. This service is one of my greatest honors. I loved every minute I was a student at Coe, meeting my husband there.

Wondering how a girl from Texas found Coe College? My parents went there. My dad was a board member as well for over twenty years. I was looking at colleges all over the country and he wanted me to apply to Coe. It only took one visit and I committed. It was the friendliest place I had ever been, everyone said hi when they walked by me as I toured campus.

My son just finished his Freshman year there and has loved it too. If you know a high schooler searching for the right college, tell them to look at Coe College!

My time on the board has been amazing as well working with such an amazing group of professionals passionate about The College.
