Thank you to my followers and those of you new to White Arrows Home for visiting today. Our home is a lakeside, full log cabin in The Northwoods of Wisconsin. We still have snow here and even though temperatures are rising and some melting has begun we could still have snow until May.
But the warmer weather and several sunny days in a row have got me pulling out some Spring decor.
I’m starting with our table. Several random things came together to give me the inspiration for this year. I wanted to use this vintage green bread box as the centerpiece. Then a box of fresh citrus fruit arrived my friend Mary Life at Bella Terra. She picked them right off her trees and sent that sunshine straight up to us! So I decided to use jade greens and oranges as my main colors.
It’s so simple to buy a potted plant to set inside a vintage container for a pretty centerpiece on the table.
What Spring meal is complete without some carrot cake? This jadeite cake stand I found at World Market years ago. Here’s a similar one at Home Depot.
This cute butter dish I found on clearance this week at Walmart. It’s a new favorite find! My runner was a fun treasure from a local antique shop. Read my tips for a fun girlfriend’s getaway to antique in The Northwoods in this post.
These jadeite plates are so wonderful! They are Pioneer Woman from Walmart. The wood bowls are also from Walmart. I found them on the clearance shelf too! I layered them with my Italian country salad plates. I found cute mini orange bundt cakes to serve and fit the theme.
Next, you’re off to my to my friend Shelley’s house of Calypso in the Country. Tell her I said hello! You will love spending time at her home.

Your home is beautiful. I love your first two pictures of it with both winter and spring. I admire your mixture of textures and colors. The Breadbox centerpiece is stunning. Is it a Gardenia flower? Whatever flower it is, it’s gorgeous and perfect for Spring. Happy Spring!

Your home is so picturesque and looks like it could be a backdrop for a Hallmark movie. My mom and aunts had bread boxes like this and boy does this bring back memories. I love the jadeite pieces and of course the yummy treats. Happy spring and I look forward to hopping with you again.

Kristin, I love that you took a color scheme and and threaded it through your entire tablescape. It looks very cheerful and bright. Even the plant’s casings on the white flowers in orange coordinate with the table scheme. Great picks from walMart! I am a jadeite collector, and even after shedding a large portion after downsizing, I kept my restaurantware for tablescaping. Love how you added the food items as elements to your table. I’m not sure I could deal with snow till May, but your surroundings sure make any season look inviting and could change my mind! It’s beautiful. Happy March, and it’s a pleasure being with you on this welcoming spring hop.

Kristin, your table hits a soft spot in my heart. I believe vintage items make the perfect decor for log home living. (Although I don’t always follow it because “my love” for many other styles). I can always so amazed at your various vintage finds you use throughout your home and in your settings. I love old bread boxes and I love how you used it in your setting, especially on top of a hand crocheted runner. Your Jadeite setting is so lovely. Happy Spring, Kristin.

Kristen, I love the fresh look to your spring table. I figured you would have snow in April, but into May!! That is just too late! I wish Walmart would come out with more of those pioneer Woman plates, I love them, but know I didn’t buy nearly as many as I wish I had! That cake plate is fantastic! You have so many fabulous vintage containers to pop a plant or flowers into. Thank you dear friend for joining in another hop! I always enjoy a visit to White Arrows!
