Favorite antique shops to visit in Minocqua, Wisconsin and The Lakeland Area.
Do you love to go antique shopping? Go Junkin’? Find vintage treasures? Are you looking for a fun way to spend the weekend with your girlfriends or ladies in your family? Here are my suggestions for how to spend a fantastic weekend focused in Minocqua, Wiscosnin and the Lakeland Area hitting some amazing antique shops, vintage stores and flea markets.

I’m joining a group of my blogging friends for a monthly series Thrifting with the Gals. Find links for their posts at the bottom of my post and see what they are finding all around the country. We will also be sharing weekly on Thursdays on Instagram Stories.
There are so many reasons to visit Minocqua and one of my favorite things is to hear so many people saying they are planning their trip to Minocqua to come visit White Arrows Home. I opened my brick and mortar shop in the Early Fall of 2020 to share our life style brand, antiques, vintage and new items with all of you! It has been so much fun to meet so many followers!
Here’s a peek in my shop.
And here’s an example itinerary for a weekend with the girls Up North.
Thursday
After getting to town and settling in at your resort, cabin or hotel, head out for a fun evening in Downtown Minocqua.
Enjoy Sangria and tapas at the outdoor patio of The Vine.
Listen to live music in Torpy Park (Thursdays 6:30-8).
Friday
Breakfast and Coffee at Little Creek Coffee Company
Enjoy the morning at Ages Past Antique Shop and Woodruff Flea Market.
Lunch & Bloody Mary’s in Sayner at Sayner Pub.
Shop for treasures at Red Door Relics. Their garage turned antique shop is full of wonderful vintage pieces. When you see the backyard fire pit surrounded by retro colorful chairs, and the cutest She Shed, you will want to move in! Look at this amazing garden fence art made out of upcyled doors.
The She Shed is made completely out of old doors. Be still my heart!
Head back into Minocqua and stop at Island City Antique Shop between McDonalds and Paul Bunyans.
The next Minocqua stop would be downtown at Gaslight Square where the entire second floor is full of 120 different vendor antique booths.
Enjoy a traditional Fish Fry dinner tonight at The Boathouse.
Stay on The Boathouse deck to watch the Minocqua Bats Waterski Show.
Saturday
Take a walk down the Bearskin Trail and then grab coffee and breakfast at Great Northern Coffee Traders .
Head South for today’s adventures. The first stop is at my shop, White Arrows Home next to Minocqua Pizza Company at 8023 Hwy 51. I’m open 10-5 Monday- Saturday. Can’t make it to Minocqua? You can shop my store on line!
One of my favorite shops for primitive antiques is The Woolery & 13th Colony . If anyone in your group is a quilter, you may never get them out of here!
I’m letting you in on a little secret. My girlfriends, may not be happy for sharing our favorite shop, but I just know you’ll love it too! Perennial’s in Harshaw (close to the old TBird Country Bridge where the Bearskin crosses over Hwy 51) is full of treasures! Mark and Mary are the most kind and wonderful collectors of wonderful!
Grab lunch at the Yacht Club. If it’s nice sit on a picnic table out by the water.
Head back to your resort and do your own thing before getting ready for dinner. Take a nap, read in a cozy chair or lay out in the sunshine. You can schedule facials ahead of time at Fern & Folk to enjoy this afternoon.
For dinner head to Norwood Pines for a true Northwoods Supper Club Experience. Have Tommy make Old Fashioneds in the bar while you wait for a table. (I highly recommend getting a reservation.) After dinner head back to the bar for one of his famous ice cream drinks.
Sunday
You won’t want to leave today, so be sure to schedule your return visit before you leave! Many resorts and rentals fill up a year in advance.
Since I’m sharing with you all my favorite spots in Minocqua, I’ll share my favorite place for breakfast. Lake Placid Inn. It’s the perfect spot for your farewell breakfast with your friends before heading home! There is often a wait here so enjoy a bloody mary or mimosa.
Want a fun idea that can start a tradition? At the beginning of the weekend, maybe while sipping Sangria at The Vine, put everyone’s name in a wine glass and then pass it around and have each girl choose a name out. Don’t share who you chose. During the weekend keep your eyes out for a special gift for that friend or family member. At your farewell breakfast you can do a gift exchange. You can also put a twist on this and chose a white elephant gift you find during the weekend. We have done it this way, and talk about laughing ’till your cheeks hurt!

All the places I loved too when I lived there for 38 years. It is truly a beautiful area! Antique shopping there is absolutely wonderful. My kids had their rehearsal dinners at Norwood pines—our favorite. I’m sorry that I moved before you had your shop. I will need to pay a visit.
