I’m sharing an Easter Basket idea for the special man in your life inspiring a Date Night In.
My friends Wendy of The Curated Farmhouse and Jessica Itty Bitty Farmhouse have brought together a group of bloggers to share ideas for Easter Baskets. You can find a list and links for all those participating at the bottom of this post. You’ll find basket ideas for kids, teens and your friends.

Thursday nights have been date night for Brian and I for close to twenty years. You can read more about our tradition and how we make it work with our busy, big family in this post. We believe that date night can happen anywhere and anytime, that it’s a state of mind. It has looked different at different phases of our life. So with staying home these recent days and weeks all date nights are at Camp Paradise.
Camp Paradise is our lakeside, log cabin home in The Northwoods of Wisconsin. If you are visiting for the first time welcome! I hope you will be inspired to make your own Date Night In Easter basket and enjoy a special evening together.
Start with a Cocktail
Think ahead about a spot that would be relaxing and intimate to sit and talk while enjoying a glass of bourbon, wine, mixed drink, even glasses of iced tea. Maybe your weather is beautiful in Spring to sit on the front porch. Maybe your evenings are still cool and you can sit by the fireplace. Or maybe you set up a corner in the living room pulling two chairs closer to each other with a little table in between.
A Special Dinner for Two
Prepare dinner for Him or cook together. Here are three recipe ideas that use Bourbon as one of the ingredients.
Bacon Wrapped Bourbon Glazed Pork Chops
Brian grew up eating desserts after dinner. I didn’t and still don’t have it often. But I’m always thankful on date night that he wants to get dessert. I will usually choose a bread pudding, a pie something with fruit. Here are some fun dessert options for a date night in.

Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce
Here are Some Fun Ideas to Add to the Basket
Michael from Inspired by Charm has a delicious Bourbon Cherries recipe. Make at home at gift in mason jars for a perfect cocktail garnish.
You can print out a list of Couples Conversation Starters like these from Michelle at Modern Mom Life.
We always enjoy cocktails when we are out when they have a giant ice cube or sphere. The ice melts slower so the cocktail is not watered down. For Christmas a few years ago I gifted some ice makers to Brian. They would be a great addition to this basket.
I love collecting Vintage Cocktail Glasses. Handsome hunting/outdoors themed glasses like these are great gifts for men.

Kristin, love your date night basket idea ~ especially the cocktail Ida. Sweet Shark and I have had date night on Fridays for years. Also so happy hour on Saturday night and margaritas on Sunday. It’s time to stop, talk and share. I should get him those special ice cubes. Great to be hopping again together.
