I hope you’ve had an amazing weekend full of activities and people you love!
Here’s a little of what’s been going on from my neck of the woods.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK

- New apparel coming into The Shop we’ve been designing.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO
This podcast episode with Bobby Bones interviewing Thomas Rhett. He talks about many of the things that I am constantly trying to keep a handle on with social media.
It can be really hard to not compare yourself to what others are doing.
It can be really hard to keep creating from your heart and not to try to please others.
I’m always reminding myself to Paddle my own Canoe and stay in my lane being myself.
I turn my likes off so I don’t focus on a number, but the why of why I’m on social media- to encourage others.

Inspiration Around the Web
- My friend Jen shared a beautiful DIY for a book page leaf garland.
- I love milk glass and my friend Cindy has beautiful inspiration for how to style it.
- Great tips from my friend CoCo for a closet refresh.
- My friend Lora shares great inspiration for how to display your collections.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
I’m closing this one out with a project. I’m organizing all my Fall clothes, going through them and deciding what to keep and what to pass on.
My daughter is packing for her year abroad in Germany so then she can go through and see if there’s anything she wants to take along too.
Like I always loved for my kids to do when they were little, I’m planning to choose my outfits for each day of the week the weekend before and have them laid out on one of the shelves in my closet.
It will be one less thing to think about in my morning routine.
Consistent systems like this that make life easier are one of my goals for this Fall at work and at home.
Every season is a good time to get reorganized!

Congratulations on being chosen retailer of the year, Kristin, that is so exciting! I’m really proud of you and proud for you too. Running a successful business takes a lot of courage and hard work and your passion shines through each day. I wish I lived closer so I could be at your sip and shops. They look like so much fun! So many of the things you shared in this post really resonated with me. I turn my likes off and lay out my clothes for the exact same reasons and it helps so much! Thank you for sharing my tiny closet refresh. It was hard to get through at first but getting dressed in the morning has never been easier. Sending you lots of hugs and thank yous, CoCo
