I am so excited to be a part of an amazing Holiday Blog Hop Tour organized by the talented Kendra of Joy in Our Home. I’m your first stop on the tour and know you will be so inspired by what you see today and all week long! Today, I am one of six ladies sharing our mantel decor. The rest of the week you will see Vignettes, Recipes, Tables and Porches. The bottom of my post has the entire list with links so you can easily find where you left off or need to go.
My name is Kristin and I want to welcome you to Camp Paradise, our full log cabin in The Northwoods of Wisconsin. Our cabin sits on the bay of a frozen lake during winter where we ice skate, ice fish and snowmobile. To see more of our winter time fun head to this post.

I love decorating our cabin for Christmas and this year my favorite decor has been on our mantle. I can’t wait to share it with you. Come on inside, would you like a cup of coffee?
Our Great Room is a large open space with vaulted ceilings and a floor to ceiling stone fireplace. The mantel is all decked out for Christmas with buffalo plaid stockings, a feather garland, shimmering snowflakes, trees and Mary holding baby Jesus.
My starting point for how I wanted to decorate my mantel this year were these two little white fur trees I found at a gift shop in Florida on a recent trip. I feel in love with them instantly.
When decorating I love to add pieces with lots of different textures and heights. So used the two fur trees and then balanced the right side of the fireplace with a tall feather tree and tall red beaded tree. I found both of these trees years ago at HomeGoods.
On the left side of the mantel I knew I wanted to use this cute “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” sign from Devanie at Home I surrounded it with a few of my candy cane trees from HomeGoods.
Our rug in front of the fireplace is from one of my favorite companies Chandler 4 Corners. They make wonderful hand-hooked rugs and pillows.
To see more about my Christmas tree head to this post.
We’ve used these buffalo plaid stockings for several years now for our five children. The toy soldier was a garage sale find a couple of years ago. All of our fire starting necessities, like matches, are kept in the vintage plaid metal picnic basket.
Gathering around the fireplace under the glow of the Christmas tree lights is magical this time of year.
I hung snowflake ornaments in the middle of the our mantel. (My family affectionately calls our mantle “The Breadstick.”) I used push pins behind the mantel to hang the snowflakes where the holes will never be seen. A feather garland, matching the ones on our tree, is draped above the snowflakes.
One of my favorite decor pieces is my vintage Mary and baby Jesus framed print.
A checkerboard beckons guests and family members to gather around and play a game.
Our nativity on the coffee table was a wedding gift and has been the center of our Christmas decorations for nineteen years now.
I hope you have enjoyed your tour! Next up you have the treat of visiting Lindsey’s beautiful home at Repurpose and Upcycle. Thanks again Kendra of Joy in Our Home for organizing this tour full of Holiday inspiration this week!

Hi Kristin, I’m visiting from Inspire Me Monday at Create with Joy.
I am seriously in awe of your decorating skills! It’s a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. We’ve not done a whole lot of decorating over the yeas, because many times we go to the in-laws in another state for that week. Oh, and I got a chuckle that y’all call your mantle “The Breadstick”!
Here’s my Inspire Me Monday for this week!

Thank you so much LuAnn for stopping by and introducing yourself! Your compliment is so sweet and warms my heart! Thank you!! Isn’t “the breadstick” funny! 🙂 Merry Christmas! I’ll come visit you in a little bit!!
