I’m so excited to be joining one of my favorite hops again this season hosted by Marty of A Stroll Thru Life, You can see my 2019 Summer Tour in this post. I am always inspired by our lakeside views and I love combining vintage treasures, like my vintage waterskis, with new decor. Last Summer I paired them on the mantel with a favorite sign, FAMILY, from my Vintage Cabin Signs collection I sell in my online shop.
This year the lake inspires me again. I love using red, whites and blues all year long, but especially Memorial – Labor Day. I’m so glad you came to visit! If you are coming over from Thistlewood Farms, I’m sure you were so inspired by KariAnne’s Tour, she inspires me daily! Find a full line up and links of all participating at the bottom of this post.
I brought up some pillow from our lakeside room to help give the Great Room some patriotic Summer style. I’ve never used these pillows on our sectional and I love them here! My American flag, eagle and blue and white gingham pillows pair up with some of my vintage blankets in the same colors.
Camp Paradise is our lakeside log cabin home in The Northwoods of Wisconsin where my family lives surrounded by pine and birch forests on the shores of a gin clear lake. White Arrow Signs point your way throughout our community. The nostalgic signs inspired my blog name.
We live in a full log cabin, just like the Lincoln Logs my kids played with. Our front garden beds are getting redone this Summer. Follow along on my social channels and subscribe to my email list to follow along on the renovation, be sure you don’t miss a post.
The mantel may be my favorite place to decorate! I love our chainsaw carved Moose head my kids named Tyrone. If you have kids my kids age then you know where the name came from- The Backyardagens.
The first thing I added to our mantel was the white framed American Flag. It usually hangs in the sunroom. Then I just started shopping my house and seeing what worked. My blue metal picnic basket and red cracker tin are favorite finds and I love to stack them.
My first antique shopping after being home for so long was a huge success. This metal red truck was one of my fun finds. I put some American Flags in the bed and pulled out a few blue and red hard back books to put next to it.
I pulled out two of my stars and stripes thermos.
The Declaration of Independence I found at Hobby Lobby already beautifully framed. The George Washington tobacco tin is a favorite find. I see them often, but found this one for a low price and in a box instead of a canister.
I love old trophies. I filled this one with red geraniums.
The Welcome and Liberty signs are from my Vintage Cabin Signs Collection. Send me an email if you’d like to purchase and see what else is on my shop website here.
