I’m sharing a nautical DIY project that fits perfectly into my patriotic decor for the Stars and Stripes Blog Hop.
A fun way to gather new ideas and inspiration for my Summer decor is through reading other blogs.

I’m so honored to be joining the Stars and Stripes Blog Hop hosted by Kristy of Kristy Mastrandonas Interior Design. Eleven of us interior design bloggers have come together to share a round up of our patriotic decor.
If you are coming over from Susan’s at Hen and Horse Design welcome to our lakeside log cabin home in The Northwoods of Wisconsin where I love decorating in a patriotic theme all Summer long from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Didn’t you love Susan’s backyard patio decor! It inspires me so much in my own patriotic decorating.
I also decorate inspired by what I see right outside our windows, the woods that surround our home and the lake in the backyard. That means nautical decor is found throughout our home as well.

Nautical Theme Bedroom
My daughter’s room has a nautical theme with her oar bed.
I’m always on the hunt for vintage nautical decor when I’m out Thrifting With the Gals. Do you follow along on Instagram as my friends and I go to antique shops and thrift stores looking for treasures. Follow us in stories for #thriftingwiththegals. We also share a blog hop each month. Here’s my recent post.
I added wood panels to this accent wall and hung some of my nautical art. This cozy area of her room is finished off with a gorgeous Old Hickory chair and a little fireplace heater.
Living Room Decor
One of my favorite spots to decorate is our mantel. My kids affectionately call it “the breadstick”. One Summer I added nautical a flag bunting.
An easy way to add in nautical decor is with throw pillows. These from Chandler 4 Corners are a favorite.

A great place to find nautical decor is in my shop. You can visit it in person in Minocqua, Wisconsin or all our inventory is online as well.
DIY Projects
I love using nautical rope to decorate. There are so many great DIY projects to do with nautical rope. I did this simple one with glass canisters, rope and candles. You can find the full tutorial in THIS POST.
My favorite kind of crafts are easy, quick, inexpensive, have few supplies and look beautiful. This projects was exactly that.
You can see them above too on my mantel in the photo with the nautical flags.
Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you will come back each day to see what’s new at White Arrows Home to find inspiration and encouragement for your journey as I share from the backdrop of our lakeside cabin home.
Next up you are heading to Regina’s beautiful home at Saved From Salvage. She’s got more amazing outside patriotic decor for you.
